Reputation management and SAP Decision Makers - I

Reaching your target, impressing them and convince them for a purchase is what all marketers are doing. However, dealing with IT decision makers like SAP users, PeopleSoft users, etc., is different. You need to be extra conscious in maintaining your brand's reputation. An irritated SAP users waste no time to unsubscribe (or worst report spam). Please read below some of the ways you can build and maintain your brand's reputation.

Say no to unsolicited email - By no way you should send emails to those SAP users who have not opted in for your marketing messages. Not only it's anti-law but also it is the worst way to push yourself towards getting blacklisted.

Unsubscribe link a must - Whenever you send emails to permission-based SAP users lists, ensure you have provided an unsubscribe link in every email. CAN-SPAM Act, 2003 also says that the unsubscribe link should be active for at least 30 days from the date the email is sent. Also the unsubscribe process should not be confusing, tedious or misleading.

In my next posts I will talk about four other ways to build and maintain your brand's reputation.
